The hair that grows out of someone’s head naturally is clearly part of them. Allowing discrimination about hair, then, which is often based on race, is clearly just poorly disguised discrimination against the person. That’s the government side. As far as businesses, they can decide their regulations for professionalism. There can be guidelines just like with “no shorts” or “no dyed hair” policies. Just be consistent (if one group of people can have long hair/braided hair/dyed hair, so can other types), and don’t be racist y’all. It’s just that easy. But it’s the governments responsibility to stand up for the rights of people and that includes not being racially discriminated against due to your natural hair type and texture.
