It is obvious from the lopsided split of opinions pro vs. con and comments for and against, that the overwhelming majority are correctly supporting the sea change in U.S. drug policy. Nothing in the comments from those opposed presents a cogent argument for treating marijuana differently from alcohol or tobacco, both far more dangerous than weed. Get over it. There is no way the feds are going to start coming after businesses or consumers in “legal” states. The House bill merely formally recognizes reality. Give adults who grew up in the 60’s some credit; they are rationally approaching this minor vice through regulation and education rather than criminalization, stigmatization and racially-motivated incarceration.
