The "us" vs "them" mentality is what keeps people from working together--always. It is rampant tribalism disguised as politics, and it fails to acknowledge there is no such thing as black and white--that both sides are "right" in their rhetoric of nearly every issue, because no issue can be simply distilled down to a reasonable matter. Abraham Lincoln spoke up against the party system way back when, and his words are true now. We need true change. We need our lawmakers to serve the people on all levels. And we need this fallacy of a presidency to end before we are all doomed. Eliminate superdelegate votes and district/gerrymandering and simply use one person one vote policy. The system is broken.
