Plenty of countries find a balance between socialism and capitalism, prioritizing people over profits. Most Americans have had enough of corporate welfare and billionaires undercutting citizens' living conditions. Even the US had a successful period, where the middle class flourished, because we investing in jobs, education and infrastructure. It's time to return to that way of life. That includes high marginal tax rates in the rich, higher minimum wages / living wages and reinvestment in public programs that will give all citizens a chance for a decent life and means for a future. If that's "socialism" I'm not sure why so many people would oppose it.
