No one should be banned from joining the military who wants to be part of the military. Whether they are male or female transgender transexual or freaking Martians. These people are volunteering to put their lives on the line for the rest of us. That in and of itself is worthy of our deepest respect and gratitude regardless of their moral standings their sexual standings their sexual orientation their religious standings or their political standings and any other standings that I may have neglected to mention. We don't have a problem with transgender people serving in the military. We have a problem with xenophobe and homophobes serving in the government.
