Some people are saying ridiculous things like, "The military is no place for social experiments.“ first, are these people aware that the military was one of the first parts of American society to be integrated? That was a “social experiment“ that strengthened our military considerably. Second, letting people be who they are is not a “social experiment,“ it is … humanity. On second thought, maybe that second point should’ve been the first: Letting people be who they are is humanity. That’s the point. Let it be so at West Point as well.
