Since Democratic lawmakers refuse to listen to the facts concerning the border (see Nancy Pelosi during the meeting with trump) it is clear that they are no longer interested in reaching a compromise or indeed even the security of the American people. By refusing to even LISTEN they have refused their ability to rightfully or respectfully comment on the matter.
