Our president’s words have consequences. His relentless attacks on the press have come to fruition. His ignorance or stupidity have emboldened these attacks. Words have consequences. The founding fathers realized the importance of a free press and wrote protections in the constitution for this very reason. The press is an integral part of our democracy. Protect them. These attacks should be dealt with sternly.
