For what? The "victim" was not a US citizen, it did not take place on US soil, or under US auspices. How *exactly* do we have a dog in this fight? It was heinous, definitely a violation of international law, and WAY beyond the pale, but beyond making our disgust with the Saudi Government clear, and taking all necessary steps to protect US interests from their lawlessness, how exactly is it our role or place to "punish" them? *Our* embassy was not violated. *Our* citizen was not murdered. What standing do WE have to act? We should throw our support behind the nation whose embassy WAS violated, even if they are not exactly our friends under normal circumstances, but unilaterally "punishing" the Saudis? Are WE as lawless as they are? Don't answer that, I don't want to know.
