I've had it. I've had it with all the mass shootings. I've had it with all the political discussion. I've had it with all the lies. I've had it with the NRA and other gun-lobbying groups. But most of all, I've had it with Congress doing absolutely nothing about this issue. There's absolutely no reason why someone would need an assault-style weapon that can fire several rounds in a second. Congress has to pass commonsense legislation prohibiting these weapons. I urge my senators Amy Klobuchar and Al Franken, and my representative Erik Paulsen, to stop listening to the outrageous sentiment of gun rights advocates and instead look at the facts. The United States has more mass shootings than any other country in the world, and not so coincidentally more guns than any other country. I'm tired of turning on the news everyday and getting tragic news about a gun incident, and I will not stop talking about this issue until I actually see Congress get something done.
