For conservatives and liberals alike an independent investigation is the best opportunity we have to 1) learn whether there was any wrongdoing 2) get on with our lives. If he's innocent then what's the problem? If he's guilty of wrongdoing people deserve to know. I can't see a conservative or liberal with any decency denying that the investigation needs to happen.
