Hi, my name is Christina Hixon and I'm a constituent from Sandy Springs, 30342. Today I am outraged that House Republicans rammed through the American Health Care Act without a Congressional Budget Office review and without fixing the issues in the plan that would leave millions uninsured and drive up premiums for millions more. The majority of Americans want the Affordable Care Act to be repaired, not replaced, and this tone-deaf bill endangers the lives and economic stability of millions. This is not just a 'party's promise to fulfill' people's lives are at stake. The ACA has given the ability to let everyone have affordable health care which in turn has enable them to live their lives to the fullest. Don't punish people for pre-existing conditions especially with this bill it would include rape as one and having a baby as another. This bill not only places 24 million people without health benefits but 7 million vets will not have the health credits they need to take care of themselves. If you are exempting yourselves from this bill how do you expect the American people to embrace it? How is this supposed to help the people you represent? I would approve of the bill even a Republican one if by its wording enables more people to have health care and not less. I urge you Senator to vote against the AHCA and ensure the ACA's expansion of Medicaid and protections for people with preexisting conditions remain in place.
