Nice change to that state's representation. While in the US ARMY, just arriving at my permanent duty station in the ’80s. I was walking down the hall ( going to my assigned room) and two young me was starring at me as I walked past the room they shared. I looked past them into the room and saw the confederate flag covering the window. The feeling I got was so odd and strange. One of the two did not treat me any differently than anyone else, but the other one, I would not trust at any time. Later in life, I learned what that flag represented. I am pleased with the change. It's a start. All of us know teaching starts at home behind closed doors from the parents.
