Some people may indeed make more with the $600 those that make minimum wage and may work several jobs at once. Then you have have a swath of middle America that lost decent jobs with healthcare benefits and that $600 is not going to keep them sitting home. That extra money helps them pay for car insurance mortgage payments, orthodontic payments and so on. I implore you to keep the $600 per month pay extension. Stop trying to penalize the few at the cost of the many. Those employers crying they can’t get help are the ones that offer no benefits and pay minimum wage, I suspect.
