Investigate, but as a national security issue, not to punish Twitter. The nightmare scenario is that false and dangerous information gets disseminated by bad actors under trusted names, during or right before the election. Imagine Joe Biden apparently telling supporters that he has dropped out of the race. Or Anthony Fauci suddenly warning voters to stay away from polls. My suggestion is for Twitter, Facebook and Instagram to simply shut down 48 hours before the election. Even if Congress can’t pass a binding law to that effect, these companies should do so voluntarily.
