It is pretty hard for our country to be ‘holier than thou’ until our country’s leadership ‘practices what it preaches’. It is a fairly hypocritical position to take. Oh, how I wish that we still had an empowered diplomatic corp instead of a diplomatic corpse. Un-alienated allies would probably help as well.
