Renaming the military bases is essential in this era when America finally faces it’s systematic racism. We should not ignore our history but we should no longer celebrate those who went to war against the United States of America. I do not see a military asset or statues erected in honor of Benedict Arnold. Why ever are their bases or monuments to Jefferson Davis or Robert E.Lee or any member of the confederacy?
