The coronavirus is spread primarily through the air in both droplet and aerosolized form. Face coverings greatly reduce the spread from people who carry the virus, whether they know they are infected or not. Since we cannot know who is a carrier, it only makes sense to have everyone wear a face covering in public. Mask wearing has been a key ingredient in the success of other countries in controlling this pandemic .
