For far too long the military industrial complex has sold its surplus to local police. This has lead to policing becoming a paramilitary organization, in many cases acting like a coercive occupying force. These officers do not receive the proper community context training to use these tools appropriately. Military arms should be left with the military personelle. If we have surplus, grant smaller defense contracts!
