As they should ! It appears police methods have drastically changed, from assist and serve to being operators. The use of any force must be measured against the reason for the contact, misdemeanor, felony or to investigate. The use of physical force must be applied just enough to effect the arrest and no more. Putting someone on the ground in cuffs and then pressing a knee in the back or anywhere else is excessive and should never be used by any police officer. Once the arrest is accomplished the officer is totally responsible for the health and safety of the detainee and should be held accountable any action they used. These excessive tactics must be stopped.
