Either attorney General Barr is lying or he he has forgotten that his current job is not Attorney General United States. Rather his current job description is private attorney for the US president. Constitutionally, he’s taking a unilateral change in his job description and has chosen to follow the direction of a tyrant and a bully. The attorney general is going to have to sacrifice his life impression and role in the rule of law (because his current job involves pleasing the president not the rule of law). It’s very likely that the current attorney general will discover what many people in the Trump world have experienced - If you play with garbage you’ll likely get very dirty.
