Bill Barr's corruption of the Department of Justice must be nearing completion by now. That doesn't bode well for the future of democracy (or what's left of it) in this country. When our Attorney General sets up a special channel for the personal attorney of a particular candidate to collect dirt on that candidate's political opponents, you know we've entered tin pot territory. It wouldn't be quite as bad if the AG made his "intake process" available to anyone and everyone, but the DoJ already has well-established channels and procedures for investigating and evaluating corruption. Barr's action is nothing more than a consigliere fulfilling the demands of his mob boss.
