Day 13 Impeachment Thoughts Trump abused his power and obstructed congress, I vote to CONVICT AND REMOVE. CLOSING ARGUMENTS • Schiff reminded us that Trump got caught trying to cheat in the 2020 election by trying to blackmail Zelinsky. • Schiff talks to us about trust: “The short, plain, sad, incontestable answer is no, you can’t. You can’t trust this president to do the right thing, not for one minute, not for one election, not for the sake of our country, you just can’t. He will not change and you know it.” • Sekulow to the lazy position on defense by asking the voters to clean up the gop mess of traitors. GOP EXCUSES • GOP senators made speeches on why they are good with an authoritarian president, they enjoy the power to hurt Americans in order to get corruptly rich. MONEY BUYS ACQUITTAL • Hawaiian company, Society of Young Women Scientists and Engineers LLC, seems to have made a $150,000 donation to Collins’ re-election campaign in a hanky panky, secret club house kinda way. • Sen. Manchin, a dem, remains undecided on whether he will convict Trump and would rather censure Trump. He was re-elected in 2018, which means he has a safe seat in 2020. If he betrays the rule of law, he will also tie himself to Trump. He will own this betrayal of our democracy.
