I admit I was an early supporter of Pete Buttigieg, but I'm still not sure he has what it takes to win. I'm sure he'd be a great leader, especially in comparison to the incompetent man currently in the White House. I don't think Iowa should be the leading indicator for the Democratic party's nomination, since it hardly represents the best cross-section of the party's base. I wish the party would choose a new path for the presidential nomination that passes through more diverse states first. However, whether Pete wins or loses Iowa doesn't determine his ability to secure the nomination. I think he has what it takes to make it to Super Tuesday, and then we can reassess whether he's likely to get enough delegates to win.
