The Democrats' presentation of their case for impeaching Trump was quite well done. The problem is the Articles of Impeachment were limited to the issue of Trump trying to compel a foreign government by withholding funds already allocated by Congress in aid of gaining an advantage in his presidential campaign. Unfortunately, the choice of the Congressional leadership was to limit their case to that single incident. Even so, the case they've made is valid despite the Senate Republicans rather extreme efforts to avoid hearing it, They are flouting Constitutional laws. They have blatantly stated they don't care what the facts are or if those facts support impeachment. They also claim it is all Democratic partisanship. That claim has no merit. If that were indeed the case, every time in the past when a Republican was elected and the Democrats had a majority in either the Senate of the House, wouldn't they have tried to impeach then just as the absurd GOP claims the Democrats are doing now?
