From what I have been able to gather in an impeachment proceedings, the House is the equivalent of a grand jury and the Senate of the petit jury. In this case the House was prevented from hearing from many witnesses and now that the case is heading to the Senate, the Senate wants to only hear the stated charges, not hear the evidence fully presented, and not hear from witnesses. This sounds more like a trial from the segregation period of a clansman for the murder of a black man. Make these proceedings less of a sham. Fully present the evidence for discussion and allow all witnesses to the actions taken involving the charges or those witnesses that can refute the charges.
