Senator Paul, I don’t know what your thoughts on this very serious issue are, but I would hope that you’d listen intently, read the materials, and come to your own conclusions without all this partisan division. I did and I’m glad that I did. This is too important of a decision to do otherwise. Senator McConnell, after your very public statements, you and Senator Graham should quite simply recuse yourselves. One more thought, the only way to get an honest vote on this issue is to have an anonymous vote. The House should have done this as well. Oh, and you both know well, whistleblowers remain anonymous for their own protection against the backlash of the powerful and so workers can report wrongdoing wherever they suspect it. It’s a vital and important check and balance against mismanagement.
