The facts of the case are clear, and there is no doubt that abuse of power happened. The obstruction charge is a little harder to credit. The president was clearly and arrogantly blocking everything he could, but it's not clear that he didn't have a legal basis for that. Of course, the Republicans will now make this a farce in the Senate because they know that Trump holds their purse strings. And they want to be able to continue with their program of stuffing the courts with conservative judges so they can set decades of progressive advances back. I only wish that some of them had the integrity to stand up for their oath of office instead of their party. As a Republican, I will never vote for anyone who is supporting this wannabe King.
