Arguably, birth right citizenship is unconstitutional as it is and should not be occurring! The constitution reads: “all persons born or naturalized ... and subject to the jurisdiction thereof!” Anyone here illegally is technically NOT a subject of the US government and therefore is not granted citizenship as a result of birth. They must be BORN HERE AND BE SUBJECT TO THE JURISDICTION WITHIN WHICH THEY ARE BORN! You only become a subject if you are here legally, which would mean you have papers or at least one of your parents is a legal citizen! This is in black and white. It’s the supreme law of the land and no one branch of government nor bureaucracy has authority to change it. Period.
