I don't know why people hurt animals, I just love them I can't see why they abuse them and treat them so cruel. Their loving faces just say it all that they want to be loved and comforted and to lay in your lap and to walk with you and to play and have fun and enjoy each others company.. Not be in a cage and not get fed or be hurt so bad that your body aches and if your whine you get hit more..NO not that STOP abusing them sweet animals and make the abusers go to jail and let them get abused and see how they like it...

When my dear Chihuahua, Giuseppe, died suddenly of kidney failure I was heartbroken. I didn't think I'd get another companion so soon, but his spirit touched mine and told me I needed to rescue someone so I could be rescued from my despair. When I searched online "Shona" called out to me. I chose her new name, Verdandi, a Norse Fate of the Present, grabbed a transport kennel and headed out to get her. When I searched online "Shona" called out to me. I chose her new name, Verdandi, a Norse Fate of the Present, grabbed a transport kennel and headed out to get her. She was at a "rescue" farm - emaciated, covered with fleas, with an anal infection and she "pancaked" when I picked her up . She had obviously been abused and neglected for the first year and one month of her life. It took weeks for her to come out of the kennel on her own. Now she is healthy and as in love with me as I was with her at first sight. She's my service dog for panic disorder and goes with me everywhere. She makes everyone smile since she's so sweet and her five inch tongue always hangs out. What a gift!

I love and adore all innocent animals! The true animals are the sickos that get away with this inhuman and horrendous cruelty which seems to be getting worse by the day! The laws need to be swift and just NOW!!!

People who harm innocent animals would do the same to people. They are all potential murderers! Remember how Jeffrey Daimer treated animals before he began to murder young men!

Most great thinkers have opined that our humanity is only demonstrated positively when we are kind to all beings...it is a basic belief of most world religions as well. As we struggle to improve our own species and evolve in an enlightened way, we can only be horrified by the actions of some, and encouraged by the many generous, loving, intelligent people who abhor cruelty to any sentient being. As we struggle to improve our own species and evolve in an enlightened way, we can only be horrified by the actions of some, and encouraged by the many generous, loving, intelligent people who abhor cruelty to any sentient being. May this shine a light on the abuses still occurring in our society and promote legal remedy for any human or non-human animal being abused. It is time for the huge majority of caring people to stand up and say ENOUGH!

If we can't care for animals then don't we lose a large part of our humanity? Animals are perfect and wonderful and humans should take a leaf out of their books, but no, instead we ruin the planet on which we all live, a number of us abuse animals for our own sick pleasure and enjoyment. It makes me embarrassed to be a human. Hopefully Karma is waiting for these awful people and will give them back what they give out, but tenfold.
