Didn't know if you knew the latest........... Thanks to everyone for their support with this cause. Good news, after far too long and the frustration of court battles, permission has finally been granted and Jonathan's name will appear where it belongs on Abigail's birth certificate. That's one proud baby girl and one proud daddy xx

Hi I live in Liverpool and run a scout group. One of my young 22yesr old leaders has no parents, yet was born of a mommy and daddy and has the honour and privledge to know for up to two years! When her mother died of cancer and her father being in the army was not able to take on the care of his daughter and so she was placed in a home for care of social services. Her father kept in touch, but then remarried and had another daughter and family. He unfortunately firs a hero whilst out fighting in Bosnia.
My friends father was never added to her birth certificate and she grew up thinking it was always too late. I have told her it is never to late and that she could fight this. Her fathers knew family received all the support and help they could get. Unfortunately all that is left with my friend is a memory through a photograph when she was young and with her daddy holding her up on the air with his loving arms. She loves her daddy even now. How can we help her?

I've just read the update, and what wonderful new that this has happened. It's the very best thing to happen for you A big ail as she will never be left wondering who he is and why he wasn't put on their. They should of honored their sons wish immediately and put aside their differences when all said and done she is their only link to him now. And they should be proud to be involved in his daughters life. If I were him I'd be ashamed that his parents treated his own flesh and blood this way.
