Support our men and women in the military, they are real hero's that serve our country, defend our freedom and miss the ones they love everyday. I have a wonderful Marine in my life as well as family members who have served and are serving now...Marines, Navy and Army. They will always have my prayers and support 100%...this should be the case for everyone in this country, they deserve the respect!

I just heard Dexter Filkins, who is a correspondent for the New Yorker Magazine, talk about his most recent piece in the magazine called "Atonement". It's about several soldiers in Iraq in 2003 and a tragic case of mistaken identity. One of the soldiers, out of the blue, contacted Filkins to ask if he knew where the survivors of the family in this incident lived. Filkins was able to reunite them, the survivors and the young soldier, and healing began. What I took away from hearing...

What I took away from hearing Filkins speak was that there are so many of these brave young men and women out there who are suffering with all manner of different emotional and psychological wounds and injuries; things that those of us who weren't there, just can't see. This cause is important because as we become more and more aware of our returning Heroes, we all need to start reaching out. Maybe I'll never understand what you've been through, but I can listen and I can be there for you and I can say Thank You!

Because both of my son's have served and one continues to serve as well as his wife and I also have a niece who serves. I have always known my freedom was not free and if it was not for all those before me that have died in service of our Country I may not even be allowed to post this right now.

We are free because soldiers fight for us to be free!
