All indigenous peoples deserve the right to be treated in a manner that is respectful to their cultural beliefs. Too many times other folks have assumed they know what's best for others, as in herding native peoples in the U.S. onto reservations and such. How presumptuous to believe that "you" have all the answers!!

This kind of thing should have ended a LONG TIME ago!! In my home area of Niagara Region, Ontario, I don't even recall this as an issue 40+years ago!! Being a US Border crossing area with complete access to the US media, most Niagarans had enough of racism as we watched the racial events of the 1960's unfold in he US!! It was enough to make most of our stomachs turn. And that is when those in Niagara left racism behind and moved on to a much more proper and fair world!! :-)
