Both my grandmother's had cancer. My grandma on my dad's side had breast cancer. She fought in for a year and a half and then past away last year at 89. One my mom's side, my grandma past away at age 66, in 2006, from cancer. I'm joining this cause for both of them and everyone who has or still is fighting cancer. Let's find a cure.

I've not had breast cancer in my family. Though an aunt died of pancreatic cancer and my father died of an unknown cancer (he never told) - I never knew of anyone with breast cancer in the family. I guess I'm the first. I was diagnosed on June 12th, 2014. I discovered it very early, much to the surprise of my doctor. But now comes the surviving part... the decisions of what to do, where to go from here to treat this. I'm hoping to have some sort of support group to help me navigate all these...

I'm keeping positive, mentally motivated and trying to learn as much as I can. It is overwhelming at times. But I'm looking forward to putting this behind me... and continuing to live my life cancer free...
