I am not sure but i believe the next elder\s meeting is on Oct 22 - 24 to talk about the place names and bring back our true names of our tm whola the way it should be, with our language speakers help we can do this, it should be a great meeting to bear witness and know where we truly are. The vast number of American Indian Languages speak volumes! They prove how many thousands or more years it took for them to evolve right here on their land. They fought, died, had their livelyhood taken, their Buffalo slaughtered, and then were tortured, most to death. These people don't have much else left that hasn't been taken...but are so highly evolved that they forgive the white man..who owes them so much more. I vote in honor of these Great People.

I strongly believe in preserving our language...as a Residential School Survivor...it was beaten out of us...therefore I never went back to Language classes or encouraged my children to learn the language either...however, this winter I've decided to participate in language classes...why? An Elder from another Nation spoke fluent Ktunaxa...felt totally embarrassed...
