As a young boy growing up on a farm in Pennsylvania I trapped muskrats to earn money.I always played by all the rules, checked my traps every morning and tried to create sets where the animals drowned quickly and didn't suffer long. I now look back on those days and can't believe how heartless and cruel I was. It's time to put a stop to the torture.

I was a danger to all wildlife from age 12-14. A menace, armed with a semi-automatic CO2 BB gun. On one camping trip, my best friend and I shot so many birds, our fathers were DISGUSTED with us! We thought it was weird that they 'freaked out' on us. When I was 14, and the Vietnam War was still raging, I went dove hunting. Shot a white one, only wounding it. There it lay, as I approached...the symbol of peace during the war...writhed on the ground, on its back, frightened and mortally...

We thought it was weird that they 'freaked out' on us. When I was 14, and the Vietnam War was still raging, I went dove hunting. Shot a white one, only wounding it. There it lay, as I approached...the symbol of peace during the war...writhed on the ground, on its back, frightened and mortally wounded, bright red blood splashed across its pristine white feathers. I blew the poor thing away with my shotgun...it was the most compassionate thing I could do at the moment, but the adults i was with were pissed, not sharing my vision of war and death and hate. The image of that whole horrible fiasco is still fresh in my mind, 40 years later. I never willfully killed another living thing. Isn't growing up supposed to produce positive change, even in the most grotesque, testosterone-filled little heathens that are homo sapien teenage boys?

Hard to understand then why so many teenage boys (or kid for that matter) would be given a semi-automatic gun be it a BB gun or otherwise. It's not a toy and no kid should be given one, period.

We must remember,we invade the animals space, not they ours. We are the selfish ones to blame. Our creator give us the whole world so that we can rule over animals and look after them. Please be kind to them. Help with donations that they can look after these poor animals.

It is just plain inhumane, painful and the animal suffers immensely . Cruelty to animals in my eyes. Should be no trapping at all.

This cruel killing of wolves is so wrong, these traps should never be allowed anywhere - it's cruel, selfish people who lay them, there the one's who should be in them

The Tasmanian Tiger was abundant in
Tasmania before European settlement in 1803.
Those unique marsupial carnivores fell into rapid
decline between 1886 and 1909, when the Tasmanian
government encouraged people to hunt the iconic
predator by paying a bounty for carcasses. They
were hunted, trapped and poisoned. If nothing is done to stop this the wolves
will become extinct and we will not be able to get
them back. These killings have to stop

The beautiful, majestic wolf, is being hounded, trapped, murdered and stuffed!! Yet, they are in their own habitat, they live in a family situation and are not the blood thirsty, cow killing animals they have been made out to be. They are wonderful, beautiful and I am in awe of their being. It has always been a dream of mine to sit in a field, to look eye to eye and behold the beauty and majesty, the gentle spirit that resides within them and it would be so amazing to me I would hold the memory close to my heart always. The wolf is not to be taunted with, to be put in painful traps while in the middle of their very own home by human beings who have lost their humanity their souls, their need to own such beauty is without any understanding, their need to kill, to murder an innocent animal is so cowardly, so cruel, as an author whose name I have forgotten calls these individuals "no more than a maggot, a mindless maggot feeding off the death and blood" of one so beautiful!!!!

Trapping harms many animals in addition to the target species. It is inhumane, barbaric and must be stopped now. When will we ever learn that animals deserve more than the agony of trapping, a cruel, and abusive practice.
