Out of sheer magnitude of public outcry and to deter others from reducing human lives to square zero, let appropriate administrative and criminal sanctions be imposed on the perpetrators of such STRUCTURAL GENOCIDE!

It's alarming that since the most remote times clothes are a basic commodity and that in this day and age, should be so well-administered and traded that this never happens again. Fire and structue safety should also be a basic commodity for the people who make he clothes we wear.
I'm voting for that to happen, and to support this petition. and to thank the organisers for caring for one of those factories, and something that has concerned me for years.

The law enforcing authority to maintain building codes specially for garments factory is very weak in Bangladesh. Some organization should campaing to strengthen the issue.
The garments factory should be in a planned, build and with antifire arrangement. The factories which are in a poor building should be transferred to suitable structure as soon as possible.

Sloppy building regulation enforcement is what causes this disaster. If the garment factories leave, it will not improve the building regulations and enforcement, it will make the poor people poorer. The garment manufacturers are not civil engineers, so what can they do?
