When India already has a rich variety of bananas that can feed millions of people that are grown naturally, why the need for genetically altered bananas?....Naturally grown bananas have evolved over millions of years but genetically altered species can have effects on future generations for millions of years beyond human control! "Strike while the iron is hot" i.e. need for "Prevention is better than cure" is felt.

Let not somebody else decide what we should eat. We do not lack in any natural resources and infact we are spoilt for choices as far as the huge variety of vegetables and fruits that nature has bestowed on us. we are a billion people strong. for those greedy POWERS that be, they are actually not concerned about maternal deaths, it is rather commercial interests with absolutely no conscience. Shame be to them. Let them not have a say in the food we eat, let us resolve to be well-informed...
