Now is the time for solidarity, lets set aside politics and rhetoric to show the world how important overcoming one more step of the U.S.A. evolving to fulfill the path of democracy and equality our country and the world is due!!!

The problem I have with our path to a democracy is we are a constitutional republic. Franklin described a democracy as 2 wolves and a lamb voting on what to eat for lunch. As long as we keep pushing away from our founding which focused on individual rights and not the collective, I don't see any rainbows or lollipops my brother.

It is a true sign of progress in the USA that a black man can be President. His ideas, such as everyone being equal could make the world so much better if ignorant people would allow it.

Maybe if it was The Fight to Ignore Stupid People I'd get on board. Obama doesn't need my help.

America wake up and smell the coffee already! Yes, respect the man's office. For years we also didn't like a president or two however we were not all over the air waves and the net parading our disgust whoever it was was The President of the united States. If that is what Fox News intend to do then l say they hate the President however it's their loss to report historical news. They are so unprofessional and ignorant. It's a shame.

I am not a Democrate neither am I a liberal; I am a Christian who thinks regardless of how much you hate the president of the great USA, you must respect the office and oh I personally think Bush is one descent man I will ever know as a politician. All politicians have their bad ways but his actions after his service in office, his not condemning the office of the presidency speaks volumes so there

I've never seen a President so utterly disrespected in my life. He's been called every name in the book except a child of God.The "right" is always saying if you're educated, have the qualities and qualifications to be President, then run. That's what he did and won.twice despite their best efforts to stop him.

Any remark a bigot makes against Obama, it should be remembered, is against us all.

The cause is important to me because a threat to President Barack Obama is a threat to Democracy. If "Of the people, by the people, and for the people," is not possible because of the color of our leader's skin, then USA cannot ever talk about spreading a Democracy because we do not have. In order to spread justice and talk about Human Justice in the Middle East, we must talk about HUMAN JUSTICE in USA. President Obama is an exemplary President and God will show that enemies both local and foreign cannot, suppress it, steal it, or bully their way into the White House until this country is a better place to live for ALL people who honor our leaders, laws, love, legislation and legislators. WAKE UP PEOPLE AND SEE THE REALITY OF LIFE IN THE USA...things have changed forever.

If only we judged by character and not by the skin color this America would be in better standing. Instead we have divided parties of red and blue
Black and white. Sheesh its frustrating.

If a man wins this office as this Pres has done twice now he deserves respect from all US Citizens. Not just the ones who are in his party. IF the Republicans spent half the time they have stonewalling him at every chance they got working with him then at the end of the next 4 yrs we might all be better off. Republicans in office need to start acting like adults instead of spoiled children without any manners.

If we expect to survive as a nation then it is imperative that we face and deal with our most insidious disease--racism. It is racism that is the wellspring of this kind of negative and potentially violent behavior towards our president--both from elected officials and individual citizens--and which willl ultimately cause our very destruction. We have a choice and we must make it: self destruct or cure the disease.

amen. hate and evil. no one is any better then anyone else and until we all learn that lesson we will have great adversity if we do not change our ways. america will tear itself apart. a house divided will not stand. we are all our brothers and sisters keepers.
