Ghetto mentality gave pit bulls a bad name. Blame the deed, not the breed!

I love all the Bull Breeds but most especially Pit Bulls and Staffies who I think get a really raw deal from the general public and authorities. They are certainly the most discriminated against with BSL and yet all responsible owners know just how loving these dogs are. Deed Not Breed!

We have gone thru this with so many breeds...German Shepherds, Rottweilers, and Doberman Pinschers just to name a few...I wish more people would realize that it is not the breed of dog that is dangerous, it is the irresponsible and uncaring owners that make or break a dog.

I love my dogs as a part of my family and for the last 15 years I have had pit bulls. I have always loved animals but the bully breeds are something truly special. I will always have a bully in my life. This cause is important to fight BSL, to educate people about the breed, and most importantly to find homes for these deserving dogs.

WHY is it always the dog that gets the blame - when they WERE NOT BORN WITH A BAD BONE in their Body - it is the IRRESPONSIBLE OWNERS that don't socialise them - don't care for them and its the owners that SHOULD BE HELD RESPONSIBLE not the poor dogs.

I want to share something that happened to me at work. Over the weekend 2 bums had cut the fence in back of the shop and stuck 2 Pits in there to mate. Anyone see the problem already? One showed up and proceeded to get aggressive with me. The attitude left when I put my gun away and went outside one on one with him having no excuse to feel threatened other than by me. I should have hit him! The shelter finally came and got the dogs. There were training them to fight also so you can imagine...

He did not get the dogs back and has left to another town since then=)))))).
I never did hear what happened to the dogs. I think they might have been to far gone to be a good pet to anyone(((.
