Yes our Veterans need and deserve all the help they can get..They go over there to make a difference and come home with memories they can not get rid of and the medical people turned their backs on them..Help them get back into society with Counseling, meds if necessary and compassion..Most people can not and do not understand what is in a veterans head when he comes home having seem 8 of his friends killed, maimed and disfigured you can't shut that down right away.. So Thank a Vet and please pray for them to Heal..Mary W.

As a veteran, I believe that the men and women who serve their country and fight for our freedom, not once, not twice, but sometimes three and four times deserve the best medical and mental health care that can be given. Lest we forget!

I worked at the V.A. Medical Center in Salem, Va, for 37.5 years and saw thousands of veterans coming back with PTSD. How could anyone doubt the effect that war and casualties have on one's mind, much less those seriously wounded. WWII evidenced many with shell shock, and look at the ones with PTSD. God Bless America and our American troops!

The more God is not welcome at the helm of the U.S. government, I would venture to say the more the U.S. will make less of an impact on the world stage.

Let me rephrase my comment so I don't have any misunderstandings from anyone. We have always needed help from day one. Some have recieved some and many none. Early service after WW2, we had no honorable welcome home, no programs for the suffereing, no outreach programs, and fought with Uncle Sam to recieve compensation for defending our country with our lives. Our own people hated us, our families rejected us, could not find work, no one would hire any killers, god forbid they forgot who put...

Our own people hated us, our families rejected us, could not find work, no one would hire any killers, god forbid they forgot who put us there. Our own fricken people. But they were able to injest the killings in on our country, then support them by paying for thier confinement. The fact is, our boys need all the help they can get.Our goverment is responsible to treat and care for every single one of our troops wether hostile situation or none, they have earned that right.......
