I think nurse patient ratios are extremely important because they determine the amount of time you get to spend with each patient and greatly influence the safety of both the patient and the nurse...as nurses, we want the best for our patients, but, unfortunately, we can only be in one place at a time....if the ratio is too high, it's impossible to give quality care.
Unsafe ratios mean compromised care and very tired nurses.
Nurses at Toronto Western General are great they really assist me in all my needs and report to the Doctor whenever slight pain bothers me.
well idk, all the nurses no me Toronto East General Hospital no me by name and if it wernt for those nurses I would've never bin seen by a doc.
because I am a nurse and it is so bloody hard for patients and nurses.
Because in our area where level 2 care is provided, the ratio is 1:4 w/c is so unsafe yet the management is not doing anything about it. What pro-active ways can be done to change this is what I want to know before any SUIs to occur.
Because I have friends who are nurses and they deserve all the support they can muster.
as a nurse I feel that we don't alway's have time to care as much as we should.Better pay and conditions will encourage more peoplke to take up nursing as a career.
because, We have no rights! We should! Rediculous..........
Very dangerous to overload staff with too many patients. Spreads staff too thin and more mistakes and accidents can occur. Also the patient deteriorates more quickly when they do not get their Basic Care needs met.
