My first smear was abornal, luckily the hospital and doctors have kept a close check on it. I was about 25 when I had my first. Who knows how long it had been abornmal for before that?
My mum has had cervical cancer 2 or 3 times & she is still here 2 tell the tail so 2 speak. If it was not 4 the smear test I even want 2 think about where my mum would be now. Plus young girls r having sex so early these days, b4 they even understand sex.
This is a no brainer really... Whatever the youngest age is, that females are at risk then that would be a starting point to discuss the smear testing. Saving lives should start as soon as possible, but aged 16 would be a starting point...starting NOW!
I've suffered Cervical cancer. Luckily 2 cone biopsies was enough to rid my of the cancer cells. First one was unsuccessful & was done under general anaesthetic, I haemorrhaged & almost died So the next one had to be done under general I had to be cauterized by laser...That was when I was 28yrs old, I just which I'd have had the opportunity of a preventative vaccine Or had early more frequent smears.....If it is legal to be having sex then there should most definitely screening.
my babysitter may still be alive had she been allowed one even thou it was quite a few years ago shows nothing much has changed for us females mmm
