We must all change our eating habits. No processed foods ! We are , as a species , just living on credit. Future eating cultures abound, most poor people don't have a choice but richer countries can act, can't they? will they? I wonder.? Most people at apathetic and don't see further than the nose on their face. Sad , we have so much potential.

So why do people eat them???.... crazy. Veganism and more conscious eating will fix all these issues very quickly. I love that you love animals BTW.

I agree
with all of you! Animals are one of God's greatest gifts to us and about the most abused. They only kill to eat, fight only to defend themselves and their families and live in harmony with the environment.. They dont destroy it! I admire the beauty of all living creatures and it's my passion to fight for all of them against the evil selfishness of humans who seek to destroy environments that aren't even theirs!

IF THE FAST FOOD COMPANY'S WANT THIS PALM OIL SO BAD.... WHY DON'T WE SUGGEST TO THEM... TO FUND, PALM OIL FARMING... ON AGRICULTURAL LAND....??? TAKING THEM AWAY FROM THE RAIN FORESTS.... AND AT THE SAME TIME... CREATING EMPLOYMENT FOR THE INDIGENOUS PEOPLE... AT SMALL COST TO THE FAST FOOD COMPANY'S....AND TAKING AWAY ALL THE BAD PRESS.... AND ANGER OF THE PEOPLE... AND PUTTING A BIG SMILE ON THE FACES OF MANY ORANGUTANS.... WITH A BIG THUMB'S UP TO THE FAST FOOD COMPANY'S....

Well, haven't we all tried that already???? Hasn't happened as far as I know.....meanwhile, boycott foods that contain PALM OIL and write to the CEOs of those products' companies.

One of the biggest uses of palm oil, is soap. Hence the brand Palmolive. This is a good place to start your boycott.

Boycotting is not the answer. Educate the native people not to destroy the trees for palm oil, and find out the alternatives. Provide them with financial resources to find a way to sustain their living.

FARMING PALM OIL... WOULD CREATE AN ALTERNATIVE INCOME FOR THE NATIVE PEOPLE... AND GET THE FAST FOOD COMPANY'S TO FUND THIS... AND MAYBE THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT. CREATE EMPLOYMENT. FOR THE NATIVE PEOPLE. PRODUCING THE PALM OIL, EVERYONE IS HAPPY. AND NO NEED TO DESTROY THE HABITATS....YOU HAVE A PRODUCT...??? AND A MARKET.... SO BUILD A BUSINESS.... AND FEED THE PEOPLE.....

don't let them fool anybody. palm oil plantations are replacing huge areas of habitat in Sumatra and Kalimantan. workers have been known to kill orang mothers and sell their babies as pets.

The net has gone deep in Africa as well..Gabon,sierra leone,Zaire all are cutting their forests to grow Palm oil. It is not only Sumatra but the biodiversity at several locations because the presidents and primeministers have only one term or maximum two so they do not feel bothered and concerned........

Has anyone checked on the ingredients of the famous chocolate made in Italy called "Ferrero Rocher (excuse my spelling)". Yes the common one you can get at your supermarket. I was disappointed to find palm oil in it. If the manufacturers don't add...then there won't be a demand. I suppose if we don't buy...

...and email or write the CEOs of these companies to let them know that you're boycotting them, and why. They need to know we don't want them to profit by their destroying rainforests, orangs, and acres and acres of habitat for other forest beings.

All snack food industries must be understand that they need to take the humane and corporate responsibility to stop using palm oil in their products. There are much healthier alternatives such as coconut oils which can be easily sourced from areas where no wildlife will suffer. Please investigate the health benefits of coconut oils for food production. Destruction of palm oil plants is cruel, inhumane as these precious orangutans are suffering immensely.

The key to abundant life and prosperity for all is to live in harmony with Nature instead of seeking to profit through greed or control through killing. Violence against the Earth and her creatures (including humans) is not "management" but only arrogance linked to ignorance. There are ample resources to be shared with all living beings. https://www.amazon.com/author/elizabetheiler
