Without the arts, life is meaningless. Let us not let them snuff it out of our lives and the lives of our children.
I find this cause very important because if this gets cut out of our school systems I would be going to college for a lost cause, because I'm going for a music education major and various minors. With out music, art, and drama, what would we be? Answer me that! We would be with out Culture, with out Individualism, and with out Entertainment. We as human beings have a desire to have meaning, and with out the arts, we would have no meaning.
I am a two classes away from receiving my Masters in Secondary Education I already have an associates degree in Communication Art and Design and a Bachelors in Studio Arts. My content area will be Visual/Media Arts. I want to give my students the opportunity to excel and express themselves in a way they feel most comfortable. There are many career opportunities with in the arts all you have to do is look around.
Music - eminates all around us in most everything we do. It allows some to write/express their feelings - while allowing others like myself to embrace their melodies and process our own experiences into harmonious moments of shared feelings... I found music to be a great coping experience - one that I learned while growing up,,,I am envious of those who learned to play instruments or read music...Yet grateful to those who have not only learned but taken their gifts to the ultimate levels of...

Emma Dorahy posted "The arts are just as important as any other key learning area." I propose that the arts are key to learning in ANY area.
In my view, the arts make people better human beings. They connect cultures in a meaningful way.They promote critical thinking. The arts teach students how to literally 'think outside the box' thus encouraging greater overall creativity.
Art is one way to express yourself with words sometimes .... Because words sometimes hard to find ... Or say ...
