I see this scene is 2000 miles from the nearest continent; therefore, the trash these birds pick up apparently come from ships. My friend who had a beach house combed the beach mornings and found many things that came from ships, not visitors to the beach. I know, too, that birds who live near a continent visit land fills, which contain all of these items found inside the birds. I don't know how to keep things out of a land fill; even if you recycle, the stuff has to be disposed of...

I don't know how to keep things out of a land fill; even if you recycle, the stuff has to be disposed of somewhere. There is no recycle program where I live, so things like this go in the garbage can, and thus to the land fill. The only other option is to burn them, and that would pollute the air for all the neighbors, and maybe even for birds in the area. It is hard to figure out.
