It's a law for a reason .. Pit bulls are dangerous and unpredictable.. I was bitten by one .. She was a big baby till one day me and stepson had an altercation . I pet this dog every day fed this dog every day it was my dog but again it still bit me . Stop this before some child gets hurt!!!!!
I got bit my a standard size poodle when I was young and you don't see them banned.....any dog can be dangerous and bite, not just pit bulls. It's a unfair law to just target a certain breed.
Pits and any bully breed are extremely protective of children. Did you ever stop to think that that dog was feeling your aggression towards that child and feeling the childs fear of getting in trouble?
As a child, my parents had to put "Mickey," our standard, coarse hair Dachshund in another room when they "disciplined" me because she would lunge at them, even when they just raised their voices at me. Mickey had 5 years with my parents before I came on the scene, yet she was my champion. Keith Ryskamp, MOST dogs will side with children. Your dog is not dangerous and unpredictable - YOU are!
Keith, I'd love to know more about the "altercation" with your stepson. Sounds like it caused undue stress to the Pittie. Hhmmm......I feel like there's more to the story that you're not telling.
Keith, I believe it's in the natural nature of a pit bull to protect a child and believe that they will protect those who are being beat/hurt despite it being their owner or not.
Keith, you really just showed your ignorance. "Your" dog was protecting "your" stepson against "your " aggresive stance towards him. I bet you didn't think about that did you.
Because pit bulls are the most intelligent and wonderful dogs I have ever known.
My beloved pit lived fourteen years as the sweetest, most obedient dog I have ever met. Most of the others I meet are the same. How can we discriminate against a breed for what we have done to it's reputation? Pits are obedient. They do what they are asked to please the owner they love. If this means fighting to the death they will do it. That's loyalty that we take advantage of. When we can become a better species ourselves, hopefully we will learn to appreciate this wonderful dog as...

It hurts me to my soul that people would take the most loving and loyal of all breeds and torture them, giving them a bad name to all who don't know any better. I don't know what I would do without my Precious puppy, and I hate it that so many people are scared of her just because she is a pitbull!
you just gotta luv'em
This is an evil way o make money and entertain people who have no respect for life of any kind. If they are so engrossed in seeing bloodshed, they should sign up for the military. Weak, wicked, evil.
I AGREE WITH YOU KATHY!
I think that pittbull fighting is inhumain and should not be aloud any where.
I am also a dedicated pit Bull activist, the breed is obviously misunderstood. I agree that it takes a certain responsible owner to ensure it's training/socialization.....but having said that. PLEASE sign petition to protect rights of these wonderful, protective, loving and truly amazing animals? Thank you so much! Your signature matters!
Please support this cause. I will be forever grateful my friends!!!
Everday when my pit puppy looks at me with those trusting and loving eyes I can't believe anyone would ever hurt these amazing animals. She is my family. In fact she's cuddled with me as we speak! Love u Davina!
Ashley, these are pigs who tie kittens and dangle them for their dogs to eat, and same with smaller dogs. They have no heart, they are evil.. Your dog is lucky to have a loving mamma. I cuddle and treat all five of my little fur babies with love and respect. They are beautiful creations, capable of teaching us the meaning of loyalty.
Because I know these dogs are loving dogs and have to be taught this filthy behavior. Like some men and a few women. They don't get what respect for life and dignity is all about. Show goodness and proper care and the same respect is given back. Train to love not hate and do it with integrity.
