I visited the shelter that services my area looking for my lost cat. The place broke my heart, especially now knowing my cat is gone. I just don't have it now to take in another cat, I'm sorry, I'm heartsick Boogie is gone and it's going to take time to recover without tears welling up in my eyes.

No companion animals deserve to live in cages for their entire lives or for any time at all. People need to stop and imagine how horrendous this life is on so many levels. My profound love and respect for our precious cats and dogs make me believe that it was indeed a very dark day for these animals when humans decided to domesticate them as pets! Companion animals are paying the ultimate price for being domesticated, including continuing sickening haunting cruelty, killings in shelters by gas chambers etc, brutalised by owners and people in the communities, sacrificed and abandoned by the armies in war zones and the list of sickening repulsive sufferings goes on without any decent initiatives by any governments past or present to implement safeguards to mitigate these inherent cruelties. The continuing sickening plight of animals have been ignored by all stakeholders in companion animals as breeders- legal and illegal have flourished under the noses of all authorities with no decent intervention to prevent the current massive overpopulation of animals because of sick filthy greed by all responsible. Animal Breeding should have been abolished years ago as shelters started to overflow, but instead the callous vile elected representatives decided to build gas chambers in addition to the other vile strategies of managing the population of animals. Now, please explain how did this make any sense whatsoever? You should have introduced laws, breeding codes, mandatory desexing etc just like all the other dam laws you have in this country. But no, the filthy greed and money was too powerful for any decent laws to be enacted or enforced. Today these precious lives are so devalued that they are now treated as "STRAYS" to be killed by grotesque methods or left in filthy shelters to rot and die. Your vile prisoners are treated better and yet they have caused societies more harm than any ofd these innocent animals you kill as 'STRAYS.Mankind has nothing to be proud of since domesticating these innocent animals!

I wish it were possible to give all stray animals a loving home. For those whose hearts and wallets are big enough I hope that they do. Animals deserve a home.

Our precious doggies are the most abused, brutalised, neglected animal being in our societies worldwide. They are paying a very high price to be with humans since domesticated. Irresponsible, ignorant, indifferent, heartless authorities, owners, and the wider communities have allowed out of control overbreeding with overpopulation as a consequence thus devaluing their lives to becoming trash! This is the sickening and shocking reality of the status of these highly intelligent, loving, compassionate animal beings who have shown us unconditional love since their domestication. Yet humans have proven to be so selfish, cruel, hard hearted, irresponsible and downright repulsive in their treatment of these beautiful beings. Today as we mark "World Stray Animals Day", what does humans have to be proud of? Every person should examine their conscience and their feelings, views, and question themselves about what it is about these living beings that they hate so much that drive them to brutalise, abuse or what it is that they do to these beings? Because these animals deserve so much better that what humans are dishing out to them. Why are there millions of stray animals in the world today? Authorities, governments, communities, owners need to stop and think about their failures that have created such suffering and punishment for our innocent animal beings. Statistics just seen in Santiago Chile more than 250,000 stray dogs in this city! Who is responsible for this alarming numbers and what does the authority plan to do about this? This is the sad sickening reality of our loving companion animals today worldwide.
