I have the singular privilege of living on an island that most people will save all year to visit, in the Puget Sound of Washington State. I feel a particular obligation to protect the wild places due to the honor of living in one. My husband and I have camped, hiked, and backpacked many of our amazing parks. And just like my home, they deserve protection.

My family are all from the Greater New YorkareaandNewEngland, so thisis new territory for me. I very much hope I shall get to visit themand your beautiful state soon.
