Thy Womb: a quiet film that speaks loudly to the mind and heart. The visually arresting images get stuck in memory long after the last scene turned into complete darkness. Locally made but globally relevant. A very noteworthy film for the whole world to see. Indeed a Philippine pride. Very well deserved to be an Oscar contender! Please let us make this happen. Thank you.

Somebody, please explain to me why Lovi Poe was cast as the 2nd wife. It just shattered the film's credibility to me. Would a mother just allow her beautiful daughter to be the 2nd wife of an aging Bembol Roco who is on the edge of poverty? There would be so many wealthy royalty in that area that can give a bigger dowry. And she may even be the first wife of a young royalty! No question with Nora Aunor's excellent performance! The beautiful Pokwang could have been a better choice.
